Nearly all of my office organizing clients are burdened by their inbox - the physical inbox with papers representing decisions to make and things to do. Throughout our relationship we are constantly evolving how we break-out to-dos. To see all of them together in one place is a crucial step, but often feels downright overwhelming.

I’ve observed that there's something seemingly off-limits about donating anything handmade. It could be from a friend, child, or family member, and it’s equally true for our own handmade items. Just because it’s handmade though, doesn’t mean you have to keep it forever. That is what I told myself when I decided to say goodbye to my college fabric dyeing class final project.

Sorting through curated memories nearly always conjures smiles and storytelling. It’s such a joy walk down memory lane with my clients. 

There are two problems though that are common:

1. Memorabilia is scattered.

2. Memorabilia has become utterly unruly.

The irony isn’t lost on me that in scouring my Evernote for a particular article that I saved, I came across a gem of an article that a client sent to me in 2013 that I had never shared on how when we save too much, what’s truly save-worthy gets shadowed by what’s not.
