In the age of simple, graphically manicured websites, librarything.com stands out as a relic from decade’s past.  I don’t discriminate though; as long as a product or site works, it’s pretty enough for me. I suggested this book cataloging site to a client who was resistant to let go of books for many reasons, but the main one being that she didn’t want to lose track of the books she had, and interests thereof.

Folks who are new to Evernote always want to know the difference between notebooks and tags. Next aways comes questions of how to optimize notebooks:

Oftentimes my clients and I find wonderful scraps of inspiration in the dusty old boxes.  Last week we found many of these in one particular box.  Two of which my client invited me to photograph since we spent some time chatting about them.

Do you really still have VHS tapes?  If so, I’m going to read your mind in an effort to help you let go of them. You still have a VHS collection because:

- They may have sentimental footage. This is the only good reason for keeping any - and still, rarely good enough considering you can’t even remember what that footage could be!)...

In the eternal quest for a home full of only things I find useful and beautiful I had decided months ago that I no longer (and never really) needed 22 square decorative pillowcases that I had made in Bali in 2001.  I had posted them in vain on both eBay and Craigslist; apparently no one else needed 22 Balinese pillowcases, until Freecycle!
