I recently read about famous makeup artist Bobbi Brown's creative way to make donating as easy and regular as possible. She embroidered a few L.L. Bean totes with "Give" and scattered a few around the house. Genius, right?! As soon as she comes across something to give, she drops it in.

When helping people declutter, the act of letting go, minimizing, making hard cuts, etc. can be difficult. What if in that same act we were could focus on acquiring more of something? Well, we are, but maybe we never explicitly saw it that way...

Given that I have a minimalism video series on YouTube where I dissect reasons for letting go of my own items, one can correctly assume that a donations bag must be lurking somewhere. In this video I give you a peek inside a very typical donations bag.

So many of my YouTube fans haven’t been to my site, and so many of my readers and clients haven’t seen my videos!

I STILL am haunted by the number of paper shopping bags that creep into my foyer closet! 

As I sort them every other month or so, I too struggle with keeping the “pretty” ones.  There’s just something about paper bags.  Try as you might to recycle them or avoid them all together, the ones that are too pretty to toss eventually take over.
