Printable: Things I Did While Quarantined List
Love or hate the quarantine, it’s getting all of us to do things we otherwise never would have done. Folks are saying “A lot of good has come of this.” Well, I’m a tracker and I wanted to track exactly what’s good that’s coming out of my household.
Look at this virtual organizing transformation!
My new client and I were on a roll when Covid-19 closed in and sent us to Zoom to continue our work together. After going through some major life changes, including a downsize and a recent move, she was left with a lot of loose ends.
[New video] 4 things I’ve learned about organizing while quarantined
Thank you to everyone who attended any of the Ask-Me/Us-Anything live chats! It’s been fun (and scary) to experiment with a brand new format. Many clients have said, “But no one ever taught me to file!” That’s why I love to work with young adults to create files as their very first important docs come about. Suddenly, a lot of you have kids home for an indefinite period of time... College kids might be retuning to rooms at home that could use some organizing, and are dumping school papers on top of it.
We think we need time, but what we really need is focus.
When I sat down to write the post How one of my clients systematically (and simply) dismantled her piles, I realized that my work sometimes feels like an exercise in tricking people into focusing. Though the example shared in the post was my client’s brainchild, it had me reflecting on the countless ways clients focus so clearly when we’re together.
