I just want to remind everyone of my ongoing love affair with Menubar Countdown.

Since 2009 this rudimentary, no-frills timer has been anchored on my menubar.  There's a very specific way I use it: It serves as my Pomodoro Timer, which is the only way I get ANYTHING done. 

Elfa file carts are on sale, but not for long!  The Container Store doesn’t announce the sale end date, but it will likely be in February.  I sang its praises 5 years ago in this vintage Inspired Office video, and still do.

Often when speaking to a prospective client for the first time, they say, “My biggest problem is maintenance.”  There is no maintenance checklist that applies to everyone, but one way my clients learn to maintain their files is to update their dated folders shortly after the new year.

I’m idealistic enough to believe that anyone who reads George Monbiot’s The Gift of Death post will be moved, and awakened by it.  It is a sharp, yet such eloquent tirade on the impact of consumerism, specifically, cheap trinkets that only exist for a quick laugh or thrill.  

Two weeks ago when so many of you graciously replied to my request for feedback on what you want from The Inspired Office this year, you told me you are intrigued by my concept of “organizing your head,” but aren’t clear on what it means.
