Got something sitting in your crawl space, attic, garage, or basement that was once useful but has been catching dust for months or years?  I’ve got news for you: it’s now obsolete and you need to let it go.

Though I love a good inspirational quote, I’m a bit of a commitment-phone when it comes to plastering one on my wall in the form of a print or poster.  I’ve done this before, and after a while, the message fades into the landscape of my wall and psyche.

We are all too hard on young people to clean their rooms, when our own rooms need cleaning just as much in some cases.  Like their parents though, they don’t always know how, but enjoy the process once walked through it.

In August, Nic caught a foul ball at an Oriole’s game!  As a lifelong fan, this was a surreal moment, not to mention it was his birthday party and bachelor party too.  Following the momentous event were texts of photos and links to the video on sports sites being passed around.

As the famous William Morris quote goes, “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” In the office, both must apply.  That is why I finally donated a beautiful, stainless steel, German-crafted notepad that had been largely unused for years.
